“Once our family was complete I wanted to capture a moment in time with the children while they were small.

Bec arrived at our home and gained their trust quickly, and the children responded by opening up for the camera. Their individual personalities shone through and some great fun photos were the result.

Katrina is going on holidays!

Well we are packing up the kids and going on holidays out west in a big RV!

I can't wait to show my girls where I grew up, stay on a working property, visit the home of the Muttaburrasaurus, fossick for saphires near Emerald, and then a nice drive down the coast.

Being from the bush I cannot wait - I love the long straight roads and landscape. I will keep you all posted as a possible next holiday destination for families.

I can see lots of board games, toasted marshmallows, daggy dancing while singing "Fernando" by the fire and quite possibly a few photos will be taken. But I'm a bit nervous about the cold, it was -2 in Roma the other night!

We all sat down last Friday night and watched the movie "RV". It is hilarious but I hope we don't have too many similar moments, especially cleaning out the pipes.

Have a great winter holiday yourselves, even if you can't get away. I just can' t wait to spend time as a family.

Run Melbourne 2009

The girls at Katrina Christ Photographer are limbering up for the Run Melbourne charity event to be held in the CBD on the 28th June!

Come along and join the fun as we raise funds for Mercy Care, a wonderful community benefit organisation that we have supported for some time.

Sisters of Mercy, along with of a team of staff and volunteers, provide free support and accommodation to women and their children who are victims of family violence and in need of safe, emergency overnight accommodation. Funds donated to Mercy Care assist the continued delivery of this high quality service. These funds help provide essentials such as women's and children's clothing, toiletries and nappies, children's toys and food, as well as emotional support in a caring and non-judgmental environment.

We admire their tireless and important work and are urging friends of Katrina Christ Photographer to sponsor us generously!

Our Sydney photographer, Bec, is now an award winning photographer having received a Silver Award at the New South Wales Professional Photography Awards!

The image, entered in the Illustrative category, was taken at a historic home in the suburbs of Sydney after Bec fell in love with the beautiful light and atmosphere that the old 19th century home carries.

After something a bit different?

'When our first two children were babies we had photos taken by Katrina Christ Photographer.

We love the gorgeous black and white photos, but when our third child arrived we thought it was time for something a bit different, and in colour, to add to our collection of family photographs. The Brisbane studio was more than happy to oblige.

We had a great photo shoot with a lot of fun and energy and appreciated the thought Lannie put into capturing the children’s individual personalities. Stunning, gorgeous and full of life- they make me smile with pleasure every time I look at the beautiful photographs hanging on our walls.'

After 4 years of the adoption process, Derek & Lydia have been graced with the very gorgeous Ji Hai, who has travelled all the way from China and has now been in their lives for over
18 months.

Lots of fun and bubbles at the shoot allowed Bec to go crazy with the camera and capture some beautiful shots of Ji Hai and her hilarious personality.
